The Power of Positive Thinking

Over the last decade a number of studies have suggested that optimists live longer, healthier lives than pessimists. What do you think? Chances are the optimists say, “Of course,” and the pessimists reply either, “Doubtful” or “I’m a goner.” 

There is no denying the power of positive thinking. What I love about Gandhi’s timeless words is that he artfully makes the connection between what we think and how we act. But he doesn’t stop there. He goes a step further to remind us that our habits form the foundation of our values, and our values identify who we really are. These words inspire me to keep my thoughts positive and remind me of the importance of surrounding myself with positive people.

I wholeheartedly believe that in order for anything to be physically accomplished, it first must be mentally accomplished. I must be confident that I can achieve my goals, that I can make my dreams a reality. I need to believe in myself. 

So I ask you today:
  • What is your attitude toward yourself?
  • Do you believe that you can (and you will) accomplish the goals that matter most to you?
  • Do you have an attitude of hope?
