What are your goals? Can you see them? Not just visualize in your mind, can you actually see them?
I had a leader once who had me lay out my goals in pictures and put them up where I would see them every day. So I sat down with my wife and we made a list and we dreamed big. Then we looked for pictures to represent the goals. On the back we wrote down the target date. We hung them in our apartment on one of the walls by the dining area.
Those pictures helped keep me focused more than a list ever had. It was much more inspiring to see a picture of the beautiful vacation site then just to see on a list that I wanted to go on a nice vacation. Lists are good, and there’s a lot of research surrounding how helpful writing things down is. The pictures though pulled me in at a glance and in a way that words on paper never have. I am doing it again this year.
Have you thought about your dreams and turned them into goals? It’s never too late to start, and whether pictures or lists work best for you, do SOMETHING to keep you on track. If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll never get there. But with a simple daily reminder, the results will astound you. Your dreams are built one day at a time, keep you goals in front of you for the inspiration and energy to make them real, not just a picture on the wall.
